Srinagar: Hurriyat Conference Jammu Kashmir leader and chairman Democratic Freedom Party Shabir Ahmad Shah, his elder brother Muhammad Syed Shah and their family have expressed gratitude to the pro-freedom people of Jammu Kashmir, pro-freedom leadership, youth, religious and political organizations, Bar Associations, trade unions, civil society, Doctors Association Kashmir, media fraternity and others who expressed condolence and solidarity with the bereaved family and all those who visited their residence during this hour of grief.
In a statement Shah also thanked those in foreign countries who offered funeral prayers in absentia and expressed condolence with the bereaved family including those of Pakistans religious, political and militant leadership. Im unable to name each and every person but I thank them all that they have always supported me at every juncture of life.
During the three days of condolence, Shah stressed on unity among the pro-freedom leadership and said we must unite on at least common minimum programme keeping in view the unflinching sacrifices rendered by the people of Jammu Kashmir. He said we will continue to struggle for freedom and God willing, the mission of martyrs will be accomplished soon.
