SRINAGAR: The Peoples Democratic Front chief and legislator from Khansahib Hakeem Mohammad Yaseen on Wednesday declared his support to BJP, saying strong government was needed to end peoples woes.
Talking to KNS, Hakeem Mohammad Yasin said he was in touch with the BJP and would support it, if required for the formation of the government in Jammu and Kashmir.
He added that the government must be formed at an earliest so that peoples issues that accumulated mainly after the ravaging September floods, could be addressed sans any further delay.
Hakeem said the strong government on ground was needed as it would be able to deliver its promises, the parties made to the people of the state during polls.
Claiming that the seven independents who won the elections would play a key role in the formation of the new government in Jammu and Kashmir, Hakeem said people of the state have voted en-masse for the development of Jammu and Kashmir and same cannot be undermined any further.
Terming loss of Ghulam Hassan Mir from Gulmarg, an unfortunate episode, Hakeem said he was surprised when the results came out.
