Srinagar- Jammu and Kashmir reported on Thursday 547 fresh cases of novel Coronavirus, the lowest daily count in over a month, even as seven more people succumbed to the deadly infection in the Union Territory during the last 24 hours.
According to the officials, Kashmir Valley reported 240 new cases of Coronavirus while 307 were registered in Jammu division on Thursday, taking the total number of people infected since the outbreak of pandemic in J&K to 449333.
In the Valley, officials said, Srinagar reported the highest 103 new cases of virus, Kupwara 28, Budgam 22, Baramulla 16, Pulwama 17, Anantnag 11, Bandipora 15, Ganderbal 19, Kulgam 8 and Shopian .
In the winter capital, officials said Jammu detected a maximum of 176 new cases of Coronavirus, Ramban 39, Doda 22, Kathua 17, Udhampur 13, Rajouri 9, Samba 12, Kishtwar 12, Poonch 4, and Reasi 3.
Besides, they said, 2258 Covid-19 patients recovered during the time— 662 from Jammu Division and 1596 from Kashmir.
Also, the officials said that four more people died of Coronavirus related complications in Jammu division and three others in Kashmir Valley, raising the death toll in the pandemic to 4739 in J&K—2320 in Jammu and 2419 in Kashmir.
