SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) chairman
was rearrested, minutes after his release from Anantnag jail after two month long detention.
According to a JKLF spokesman, Yasin Malik was rearrested shortly after a local court in Anantnag bailed him out this afternoon. Before being shifted to Mattan police station, police took Malik on a weeks remand. Besides Malik, the spokesman said, zonal organizer Bashir Ahmad Kashmiri was shifted to Anantnag jail from police station Kral-Khud today.
While condemning the re-arrest of Malik, the spokesmen said that thousands of people, including youth and JKLF leaders were arrested by police before the polls were announced.
By re-arresting Malik today, Police has once again proved that these so called elections are only a police operation and Jammu and Kashmir is actually a police state, the spokesman added.
