Srinagar- In a new spurt in Coronavirus cases in the recent months, Jammu and Kashmir reported on Tuesday 4651 fresh cases of virus while three more people succumbed to the deadly infection in the Union Territory during the last 24 hours.
According to the officials, Kashmir Valley registered 3105 fresh cases of novel Coronavirus while 1546 were reported from various districts of Jammu division on Monday, taking the total number of people infected since the outbreak of pandemic in J&K to 366851.
In the Valley, the officials said, Srinagar reported the highest 957 new cases of virus, Baramulla 633, Budgam 411, Anantnag 253, Kulgam 215, Kupwara 209, Ganderbal 172, Bandipora 139, Pulwama 96 and Shopian 21.
In the winter capital, officials said, Jammu registered a maximum of 919 new cases of Coronavirus, Udhampur 184, Samba 109, Kathua 94, Reasi 78, Rajouri 74, Doda 49, Poonch 18, Ramban 15 and Kishtwar 6.
“Moreover, 899 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and been discharged from various hospitals including 549 from Jammu Division and350 from Kashmir Division,” the officials said.
Also, they said that three more people, two from Jammu and Division and one from Kashmir Valley died of Covid-19 complications, raising the death toll in pandemic to 4575 in J&K —2228 in Jammu and 2347 in Kashmir.
The officials also said that no new cases of Mucormycosis were reported Tuesday, thus the total number of confirmed casesremains51 across J&K.
