Srinagar- A daily wager in the Power Development Department (PDD) died on Tuesday after receiving an electric shock in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
Mohammad Ramzan was repairing a transmission line in Rafiabad area of the district on Tuesday morning when he received an electric shock, reports said. A resident of Rowach village, Ramzan was immediately taken to a medical facility in Dangiwacha where doctors declared him dead on arrival.
Meanwhile, locals of the area staged a demonstration and said that before sending the casual labourer to repair the transmission lines the concerned officials should have snapped the power supply.
