Srinagar- Jammu and Kashmir reported on Tuesday 91 fresh cases of novel coronavirus while one more person succumbed to the deadly infection in the Union Territory during the last 24 hours.
According to officials, 59 fresh cases of Covid-19 were reported from Kashmir Valley and the remaining 32 from Jammu division, taking the number of people infected since the outbreak of pandemic last year in J&K to 340924.
In the Valley, officials said, Srinagar reported the highest 30 new cases of virus, Ganderbal 9, Budgam and Bandipora 5 each, Kupwara 4 and Baramulla and Pulwama 3 each. The three districts of Anantnag, Kulgam and Shopian registered no new cases of Covid-19.
In the winter capital, officials said, Jammu reported a maximum of 20 new cases of coronavirus, Doda 6, Rajouri and Poonch 2 each and one new case in Udhampur and Kathua. No cases were detected in Samba, Kishtwar, Ramban and Reasi.
“Moreover, 127 Covid-19 patients recovered during the time, 29 from Jammu Division and 98 from Kashmir,” officials said.
Also, they said that one more person died of Covid-19 related complications in Kashmir Valley, taking the death toll in pandemic to 4525 in J&K—2197 in Jammu and 2328 in Kashmir.
