Srinagar- Police recovered and defused a mortar shell in Paloura area of Jammu outskirts, a police official said Monday.
The 51 mm mortar shell was found on Sunday evening found during digging for widening of road following which a Bomb Disposal Squad was immediately pressed into service, the official said. He further said that the shell was later defused in river Tawi bed.
