Aquib Nabi, Waseem Bashir, Nasir Lone, Abid Mushtaq, Henan Malik to undergo trials
SRINAGAR- Multiple Kashmir Valley cricketers have been called up to participate in trials by various Indian Premier League (IPL) teams.
The trials are for the upcoming IPL 2022 season and the players have received the invitations based on their performances in the recently concluded domestic competitions.
Pahalgam-born Waseem Bashir Khanday has been called up by Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and will participate in the trials. J&K’s Henan Malik, a right-handed batter and captain of J&K’s U-25 team, has also been called by KKR.
Bandipora’s cricket sensation Nasir Lone has been called up for trials by Mumbai Indians. The 25-year-old all rounder will also give a trial session at Punjab Kings (PBKS). Mumbai Indians have also called Aquib Nabi and Abid Mushtaq for the trials. Abid, a left arm spinner and a capable lower-order batter, has also been called up by Rajasthan Royals. Baramulla cricketer and all rounder, Aquib Nabi will also take part in the Mumbai Indian trials after spending the last season with KKR as their net bowler.
The mega IPL auction is all set to be held in the first week of February 2022.
