Srinagar- Four people on Wednesday were detained after fake currency worth Rs 45,000 was recovered from their possession in Narbal area of the city outskirts.
Tawfeeq Ahmad Khawja, Abdul Hameed Ganie and Farooq Ahmad Ganie, all residents of Pattan, and Nazir Ahmad Bhat of Awantipora, were taken into custody by police on Wednesday after a vehicle (JK01AB-9599) was intercepted by cops near Narbal Bridge and during searches fake currency worth Rs 45000 was recovered, a local news agency KDC reported.
Police also seized the vehicle, two laptops and an equal number of printers, the report said.
