Srinagar- Three more people succumbed to coronavirus in Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday while 147 fresh cases of the deadly infection were reported from the Union Territory during the last 24 hours.
According to officials, two more people from the Valley and one from Jammu died of coronavirus related complications on Wednesday, taking the death toll in the pandemic to 4503 in J&K—2191 in Jammu and 2312 in Kashmir.
About the new cases, officials said, 107 were detected in the Valley and the remaining 40 from various districts of Jammu division.
In the Valley, officials said, Srinagar reported the highest 47 cases of novel coronavirus, Baramulla 15, Budgam 14, Kupwara 13, Ganderbal 6, Kulgam 5, Pulwama 4, Anantnag and Bandipora 2 each and one new case in Shopian.
In the winter capital, Jammu reported a maximum of 20 new cases of virus, Doda 7, Poonch 4, Rajouri and Kathua 2 each and one fresh case from Udhampur. The four districts of Samba, Kishtwar, Ramban and Reasi reported no new cases.
“Moreover, 125 Covid-19 patients recovered during the time, 17 from Jammu Division and 108 from Kashmir,” officials added.
