1-1 draw with J&K Bank FA hands youngsters the title

SRINAGAR- Sports Council Football Academy (SCFA) Srinagar on Saturday lifted the NIFF Youth Football League 2021 title after a 1-1 draw with J&K Bank FA was enough to give them the trophy.
The two academy teams have been in scintillating form throughout the tournament. SCFA Srinagar had already defeated J&K Bank FA in the final round matches.
The final match of NIFF Youth League 2021, a 2:00 PM kick off, was played at Synthetic Turf, TRC. The match saw SCFA take an early lead thanks to Farhan Fayaz who scored in the 15th minute. J&K Bank FA equalised in the 55th minute through Asif Rasool. The match ended 1-1 and the Srinagar side was awarded the title due to their earlier win over the Bank team.
SCFA Srinagar’s Feroz Ahmad won the Golden Boot award for his goal-scoring exploits, finishing as the tournament’s top scorer. While SCFA Srinagar’s goalkeeper Tajamul Islam won the Golden Gloves award. SCFA Bandipora was awarded the Fair Play of the tournament award.
Youth League 2021 was organised by J&K National & International Footballers Forum (NIFF).
