SRINAGAR- Two matches of NIFF Youth League final round fixtures were played on Tuesday at Synthetic Turf TRC, here.
In the first match J&K Bank Football Academy drew 2-2 with SCFA Bandipora. The high-voltage match saw all 4 goals scored in the first half. J&K Bank’s academy forward Huzaif Ahmad gave his team the lead in 21st minute, however, SCFA Bandipora’s Zaheer Mir scored the equaliser in 28th minute. Bank’s Huzaif then scored the second goal in the 33rd minute, before Bandipora’s Zaheer made it 2-2 in the 40th minute. The scores remained the same in the second half of the match as well.
Zaheer Mir was awarded man of the match for his splendid goal-scoring display.
The second match of NIFF Youth League saw SCFA Srinagar defeat DP Dhar FA 2-0. Farhan Fayaz scored the first goal in the 15th minute of the match. The SCFA boys then scored another in the 36th minute through striker Ubaid Riyaz.
SCFA Srinagar’s Ubaid Riyaz was awarded man of the match.
The next round of matches will be played on December 9 with J&K Bank FA taking on DP Dhar FA in the first fixture, while the two Sports Council Football academies from Srinagar and Bandipora will go head to head in the second match.
The NIFF Youth League will kick off from 12:30 PM onwards.
