The passing away of Rev Sanjeeb Mj (Swami Aniruddhanandaji) on November 27, 2021 has come as a rude shock to all his devotees across India. He was known for his upright, daring, dynamic and outspoken personality and has made a huge contribution, struggled with long legal battles and getting possession of Swamiji’s ancestral home in Kolkata from the people who were occupying it for decades.
He was also deputed during the unrests at Rahara and Gol Park centres and was actively involved in organising the Devotees Convention at Belur Math in 1980. He was highly influential with the top brass of the society, including top industrialists, bureaucrats, politicians, etc. He was stationed in Bombay for about eight months in 1985-86 for fund collection for RKM Brindavan and had developed cordial relations with many devotees there.
He has been a great source of inspiration and influence to many volunteers of RKM Bombay and drew them closer to Thakur Sri. Ramkrishna, MAA-Sharda and Swamiji with his in-depth explanation of stories from the Gospels & letters of Swamiji.
From Bombay he was called to join the legal dept. at the HQ at Belur Math in February 1986. The Platform at Bombay Central Station was crowded with his devotees and admirers. Two volunteers accompanied him to Brindavan. One of them is a Senior Swamiji of RKM now. He could have taken strangers as his own. Whatever is good or bad in your life today, it is always good to take the truth in life.That was the philosophy of his life. Honest counsel in his life journey, excellent spiritual explanation could speak in simple plain language.
