SRINAGAR- The J&K Football Association (JKFA) on November 28 conducted a one-day referees basic course at Gindun Ground, Rajbagh here for new candidates who had registered themselves online in the AIFF portal.
Prior to this course a three-day online course was also conducted by JKFA. The course was supervised by N.A Bhat (HOR) Referees Assessor, AIFF. The course was inaugurated by Z.A Thakur, President JKFA.
In his Inaugural address, the President impressed upon the participants to strengthen the referees department of the Association, and stressed upon them to update their knowledge about refereeing. Nazir Ahmad (HOR) threw light on the laws of the game and the session lasted for three hours. After discussing and interacting on various aspects of the course, the participants appeared in the CAT-5 examination.
Prof. B.A Shah, Hony. General Secretary JKFA, Farooq Shaheen, Chairman Referees Committee, Muzaffar Ahmad, Asst. HOR, and Farooq Ahmad Khan were also present on the occasion.
