SRINAGAR- The All Jammu Kashmir Mountaineering Foundation (AJKMF) announced that its founder and Managing Director, Danish Dhaar has completed a trek of 100 plus high altitude alpine lakes.
“Hearty congratulations to the ambitious man of Team All Jammu Kashmir Mountaineering Foundation, Danish Dhaar for achieving the feature of exploring 100 + alpine lakes in Kashmir Valley. His dedication towards adventure is always appreciable. Rise and shine,” the foundation said in a press note.
An MBA Finance graduate, Danish is currently pursuing CA. As a tax professional and entrepreneur, Danish is helping businesses streamline their compliance function of business matters, accounting, and taxation.
Danish is also a passionate trekker and climber. A mountain lover since youth, Danish is always looking for unexplored destinations.
“He is the best trek leader and a great person who always comes forward to help. It is a wonderful and proud moment for Danish Dhaar and for our Club. He is an inspiration for the youth of J&K,” the AJKMF added.
Danish has done many courses in the field in order to train as a professional, including Basic Mountaineering course, Basic Skiing course, Intermediate Skiing course, First Aid and CPR courses.
There are more than 1100 Alpine Lakes in the Kashmir region, and so far Danish has explored 102.
He has done his treks and expeditions outside J&K as well which include Gujarat and Ladakh. Danish has scaled Stok Kangri 6153m, Sunset Peak 4751m, Sheenmyean Peak 4600m, and Mt Mahadev 3966m.
“We are working on our basic objective which is to promote the spirit of adventure among the youths of the J&K,” the Foundation’s statement concluded.
