As many as 82.44 lakh pilgrims visited the holy cave shrine of Vaishno Devi, nestled in Trikuta hills in Jammu and Kashmir, during the first nine months of this year.
“A total of 82,44,322 pilgrims have paid obeisance at the cave shrine in the first nine months of this year,” the Vaishno Devi Shrine Board said today.
As many as 78,09,424 devotees visited the shrine during the corresponding period last year, it said.
A record over one crore pilgrims paid obeisance at the holy cave shrine in 2011.
