SRINAGAR: The final match of DFA Srinagar A-Division League 2021 was played on Wednesday at Synthetic Turf, TRC here.
Yahya Warsi FC from Ompora, and Haroon FC from HMT, battled it out for the title. The two teams played excellent football but couldn’t find the back of the net. At full time the score remained 0-0, and the match was decided in a tie-breaker.
Yahya Warsi FC managed to defeat Haroon FC 6-5 in the penalty shootout to lift the A-Division title.
Nuzhat Gul, DSO (K) JKSC, was the chief guest and Mushtaq Ahmad Zargar, Manager Gindun Ground Sgr. was the guest of honour on the occasion, and distributed prizes and mementoes to players and officials.
