Avengers Beat Novelty 4-1, Bank Lose 1-0 To SPDC

SRINAGAR: Two matches of the ongoing JKFA Khyber Premier Division League 2021 were played on Tuesday at Synthetic Turf TRC here.

The first match played between Kashmir Avengers FC and Novelty FC ended in a one-sided affair as the Avengers won 4-1. Kelvin opened the scoring for KAFC in 28th minute, before Pathan doubled the team’s lead in the 48th minute of the second half.

Kelvin made it 3-0 for the Avengers in the 58t minute, while the fourth goal was scored by Junaid in the 80th minute. Novelty managed to earn a consolation goal in the dying moments through Alok Singh. Kelvin was named man of the match.

In the second Premier League match of the day, JKSPDC (State Power Development Corporation) XI handed J&K Bank XI their second loss in as many matches. Zaffar Ahmad scored the only goal of the match in the 20th minute. The PDC XI dug deep to stave off attack after attack from J&K Bank XI to win the tie 1-0. PDC’s Nadeem was named man of the match.

‘Pele of Kashmir’ KO tournament reaches 2nd stage

Three matches of the 2nd round knockout stage have been played at Eidgah Play Field till now.

The first match was played between Solina FC and Towheed FC Oct 29, in which Solina defeated Towheed FC 7-6 in the tiebreaker.

The second match was played on Oct 30, between Kashmir United FC and FC Views. Kashmir United got a walkover as FC Views did not turn up in the field of play. The third match of the tournament was played between Syed Tajuddin FC and Shehr-i-Khas FC. Syed Tajuddin defeated Shehr-i-Khas FC 4-3 in the tie breaker.
