Srinagar- The Industrial Association Lassipora (IAL) on Tuesday welcomed the appointment of Mahmood Ahmad Shah as new Director Industries & Commerce, who will also be holding the additional charge of Director Handloom & Handicraft and J&K EDI.
In a statement, President IAL, Haji Muzaffar while congratulating the new director said that the IAL fraternity is hopeful that Shah will take the Industrial sector of the valley to newer heights and that his appointment will help industry to get redressal of the issues on a faster pace as he has a past experience of serving for the development of the department and procuring in-depth knowledge of the problems faced by unit-holders at grass-root level.
The IAL has assured the new Director all the support for his important position to improve the Industrial sector of Kashmir especially Lassipora.
IAL Financial Secretary, Sarwar Malik said that the fraternity is extremely exhilarated by the appointment of Shah as the person has an immense knowledge of multiple sectors where he had been appointed at key positions like Director Tourism, RTO and several other departments.
“His varied knowledge will help our Industry to produce result-oriented initiatives at various levels as he has been known for his bold decision making capability.” said Malik.
The fraternity has also said that an individual of Shah’s calibre will help the department to enter into a new era of success and prosperity. The IAl has also expressed hope that the new Director will prioritize the aspirations of this industry’s stakeholders and will not leave them in despair.
