SRINAGAR- On the concluding day of the Iconic Week festival being held as part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations, the J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages organized a theatre play at SKICC here on Friday.
The play titled ‘Jheel Bula Rahi Hai’ was held in association with Mission Youth, J&K and it was mounted on stage by Actors Creative Theatre, Srinagar. The play is a conventional drama about a family of fishermen who live by and off the Wular Lake.
Commenting on stage adoption of the play, Academy’s Additional Secretary, Sanjeev Rana said that through mounting of plays like ‘Jheel Bula Rahi Hai’ and other similar initiatives JKAACL aims to promote the rich theatre traditions of the Union Territory.
