Srinagar:- Home Minister Amit Shah is likely to address a public gathering at the Sher-i-Kashmir International Convention Centre (SKICC) on the banks of the Dal Lake on 25th of October, party officials told Kashmir Observer.
Confirming the scheduled event, Manzoor Bhat, head of the party’s Media & Information Technology Department, said that “the HM will address a public rally at SKICC before leaving for New Delhi.”
Shah arrives in Jammu and Kashmir today and will conclude the visit on 25th October. This is his first visit to the Valley since August 5, 2019, when he piloted the bills in parliament to end JK’s special status, its statehood and carved out Ladakh as a separate Union Territory.
In Srinagar, Bhat told Kashmir Observer, Shah will virtually inaugurate a government project in Handwara and is scheduled to chair a meeting of the Unified Command today to review the security situation.
Bhat said that the party workers would apprise HM of the target killing of BJP workers, particularly in South Kashmir. “We will also take up the matter of selective killing of civilians,” he told Kashmir Observer.
Shah will also meet with representatives of various industry bodies during his stay in the Valley and flag off the Srinagar-Sharjah direct flight later this evening, officials said.
The Home Minister is likely to address a public rally in Jammu on 24th.
