Srinagar: The Hurriyat Conference (M) leadership has expressed happiness over the inclusion of irs chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq in the list of the worlds 500 Most Influential Muslims for 2014-15 by the prestigious Royal Islamic Strategic Studies Centre (RISSC), Jordan.
In a statement a spokesperson of the conglomerate said all the constituents and the people of Kashmir have expressed their satisfaction over the fact that the world has practically acknowledged the struggle for right to self determination of the people of J&K led by the Mirwaiz.
They said that Mirwaizs political, social and religious contributions were being recognized on international level and that is why Mirwaiz was the right choice for being awarded as the one of the most influential Muslim leader around the world. They further said that they were proud of Mirwaiz and his contributions to the freedom struggle.
