Srinagar: As many as 91 more coronavirus infected people recovered from the deadly infection in Jammu and Kashmir on Friday, while 51 fresh cases of virus were also detected in the Union Territory during the last 24 hours.
Officials confirmed on Friday that 91 more patients have recovered—21 from Jammu and 70 from Kashmir after being infected by the virus. During the same time, 51 fresh cases of novel coronavirus were reported in the UT-—47 from the Valley and the remaining four from Jammu, taking the total number of people infected by virus in J&K to 330885.
In Kashmir, the officials said, Srinagar reported highest 27 new cases of Covid, followed by Budgam with 5, Baramulla and Kupwara 4 each, Bandipora 3, Pulwama 2 and one new case each in Anantnag and Ganderbal districts. The twin districts of Kulgam and Shopian in south Kashmir reported no new case of Covid-19.
In the winter capital, the officials said just four new cases of virus were reported, the lowest daily count after months. While Jammu reported 3 new cases, a single case was detected in Rajouri district. Eight of the ten districts, including Udhampur Doda, Kathua, Samba, Kishtwar, Poonch, Ramban and Reasi reported no new case of coronavirus.
Also, the officials said, the death in J&K remained 4426—2174 in Jammu and 2252 in Kashmir, as no Covid-19 related fatality was reported on Friday.
