GULMARG: With fresh snowfall in the upper reaches of Gulmarg hill resort in north Kashmir, the flow of tourists has started to pick up following decline due to devastating floods in the Valley.
Known for its skiing slopes, the Afarwat and Kongdoori received 07 and 2.5 inches of snow respectively on Wednesday.
An official of the Jammu and Kashmir Cable Car Corporation (JKCCC) said that there was decline in tourist flow but after fresh snowfall over the region, there is a surge. Due to snowfall in upper reaches, the tourists have started to arrive again. They also think now that the situation is normalizing and has improved, said Riyaz Makai, the Assistant Manager at JKCCC.
