Srinagar: Makhan Lal Bindroo, owner of a prominent Srinagar pharmacy, was shot and killed inside his business premises at Iqbal Park here on Tuesday evening.
Bindroo, 68, was shot by the terrorists from point-blank range while he was at his pharmacy dispensing medicines, police said.
He was rushed to a hospital where he was declared brought dead.

A Kashmir Pandit, Bindroo was one of the few among his community who did not migrate out of Kashmir after the onset of militancy in 1990.
He stayed back along with his wife to continue operating his popular pharmacy Bindroo Medicate.
Non Local Vendor Shot Dead
Meanwhile in another incident of shooting on Tuesday evening a non-local street vendor was shot dead in downtown Srinagar.
Police said that militant fired upon a roadside vendor, selling Bhelpuri in Lal Bazar area of the city. The vendor, Virender Paswan of Bhaghalpur Bihar, died on the spot, reports said.
