Srinagar: As many as 144 coronavirus infected people recovered in Jammu and Kashmir on Monday, while 100 new cases of infection were reported from the Union Territory during the last 24 hours.
According to the officials, 144 more patients have recovered—27 from Jammu and 117 from Kashmir, while as 78 fresh cases of Covid-19 were reported from Kashmir Valley and the remaining 22 from the winter capital during the last 24 hours, taking the total number of people infected by virus in J&K to 329889.
In Valley, officials said, Srinagar reported highest 44 cases followed by Ganderbal with 9, Budgam 6, Pulwama and Bandipora 5 each, Kupwara 3, Baramulla and Anantnag two each and one new case each from Kulgam and Shopian districts.
In the winter capital, Jammu reported 10 cases, Doda 4, Reasi 3, Rajouri and Ramban two each and Kishtwar one new case of virus. No fresh case of coronavirus was reported from Udhampur, Kathua, Samba and Poonch districts, officials said.
Also, the officials said that there was no death due to the virus. So far 4424—2174 in Jammu and 2250 in Kashmir—have died due to the fatal infection.
