Srinagar: After days of spike, Jammu and Kashmir reported on Tuesday recovery of 135 coronavirus infected people, while 95 fresh covid-19 cases were also detected in the Union Territory during the last 24 hours.
According to officials, 188 more Covid-19 infected patients have recovered—21 from Jammu division and 167 from the Valley during the last 24 hours. During the same time, 95 fresh cases of virus surfaced in J&K— 67 from Kashmir and 28 from the winter capital, taking the total number of people infected since the outbreak of the pandemic in J&K to 329220.
Giving district-wise details, officials said, Srinagar reported 36 cases, Baramulla 13, Budgam 10, and four new cases each in Pulwama and Ganderbal districts. No fresh case of virus was reported from the five districts of Kulgam, Shopian, Anantnag, Kupwara and Bandipora.
In the winter capital, Jammu reported the highest 10 cases, Ramban 9, Rajouri 5, Kathua 2 and one each new case from Doda and Poonch districts. Udhampur, Samba, Kishtwar and Reasi reported no new cases of coronavirus, officials said.
Also, the officials said that no coronavirus related death was reported from J&K on the second straight day. So far 4422—2173 in Jammu and 2249 in Kashmir have succumbed to the virus.
