Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir reported on Monday 117 cases of novel coronavirus while no virus related death was reported from the Union Territory during the last 24 hours.
According to the officials, 62 fresh cases of Covid-19 were reported from Kashmir Valley and the remaining 55 from Jammu division, taking the total number of people infected since the outbreak of pandemic last year in J&K to 329125.
In the Valley, officials said, Srinagar reported highest 33 cases, Budgam and Bandipora 8 each, Pulwama 5, Kupwara 3, Baramulla and Ganderbal two each and Anantnag one new case of virus. No fresh case was detected from the twin districts of Kulgam and Shopian in south Kashmir.
In the winter capital, Rajouri reported a maximum of 40 cases, followed by five cases each in Jammu and Doda districts, Udhampur 2, and one new case each in Kishtwar, Poonch and Ramban. The three districts of Kathua, Samba, and Reasi reported no new cases of coronavirus.
Also, the officials said that 118 more patients have recovered—14 from Jammu and 104 from Kashmir during the last 24 hours.
Meanwhile, there was no death due to the virus during the time. So far 4422 people have died—2173 in Jammu and 2249 in Kashmir.
