Srinagar: Huriyat (M) convened an extraordinary meeting on Thursday of its Executive Council at Mirwaiz Manzil, Nageen. The meeting which was convened by APHC (M) Chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq saw participation of Executive Council members including Maulana Abbas Ansari, Prof Abdul Gani Bhat, Bilal Gani Lone, Agha Syed Hassan al Moosvi, Musadiq Aadil and Mukhtar Ahmad Waza.
According to the Huriyat (M) spokesman, during the meet, participants took detailed stock of the flood situation across the length and breadth of Kashmir. Terming the flood calamity as a national disaster, the participants expressed profound grief and regret over the loss of life and property due to inundation of vast areas of Srinagar and other parts of Kashmir.
The participants stated, the way Kashmiri nation has stood up to the challenge of the flood catastrophe in times of crisis was exemplary, adding, the commitment and resolve shown by the people would help the Kashmiri nation to face the massive challenge ahead of rebuilding Kashmir with full might and confidence.
