SRINAGAR: Four matches were played on Tuesday in the ongoing DFA Srinagar Annual League Football Tournament 2021 here.
Two matches were played in the Super Division League at Synthetic Turf ground, TRC.
The first match between Real Kashmir U-18 and Galaxy FC ended as a 2-2 draw. Galaxy FC scored the first goal in the 12th minute via Faheem Ahmad. The Galaxy team held on to its solitary goal till the end of the first.
The young Snow Leopards, however, came out flying in the second half and scored the equaliser through Faizan. Galaxy players kept pushing and were rewarded with a goal in the 45t minute of the match.
Real Kashmir boys managed to find another equaliser in the 53rd minute. With the score at 2-2 both teams had chances to win the game. Ultimately the match ended as a 2-2 draw.
Both teams qualified for the 2nd round of the Super Division league with 5 points each from their respective pool.
In Super Division second match, Hamdaniya FC took Young Iqbal FC. The match was equally balanced and saw the first half end with a 0-0 scoreline. Hamdaniya FC, however, took the lead in the 50th minute through Firdous Ahmad. The Young Iqbal team tried to equalise but failed. The match ended 1-0 in favour of Hamdaniya FC.
Over in the ‘A’ Division League two matches were played on Tuesday at Gindun Ground, Rajbagh.
The first match between Al Hilal FC, Padshahi Bagh and Blossom FC, Soura ended in a goalless draw.
The second match of the A Division saw Towheed FC, Anchar defeat Majeed Bagh FC, Sanat Nagar by a 1-0 margin.
Both the Super Division League and the ‘A’ Division League are being organised by DFA Srinagar in collaboration with J&K Sports Council.
