SRINAGAR: Jigme Khesar, King of Bhutan, has written to Kashmir Governor to convey his deepest condolences to the people of Jammu and Kashmir for the loss of hundreds of lives and injuries and damage to property due to calamitous floods and landslides in the State.
The text of the Kings letter is as under: It was with the greatest unhappiness that I received news of the calamitous floods and landslides in Jammu and Kashmir, which has resulted in the loss of hundreds of lives, as well as injuries and damage to property.
Please accept my deepest condolences to the people of Jammu and Kashmir. We offer our prayers for those who have lost their lives, and that the ongoing rescue operations succeed in bringing relief to those who are still stranded. I wish you, and the bereaved families, the strength and fortitude to navigate this difficult time. The Governor has replied to His Majesty to thank him for his kind concern.
