Srinagar- A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawan and a woman were injured in a grenade attack by militants in the summer capital, Srinagar, on Friday.
Official sources said militants hurled a grenade at a security force party at Chanapora in uptown Srinagar on Friday, resulting in minor injuries to a CRPF jawan and a woman. The injured were rushed to a hospital where their health condition is stated to be stable, they said.
They said the militants managed to escape from the spot taking advantage of the chaos created due to the blast. Additional security forces have been rushed to the area and a search operation has been launched to nab the attackers, they said.
