Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir reported on Wednesday 151 fresh cases of novel coronavirus while the deadly infection claimed the life of another person during the last 24 hours.
According to officials, Kashmir Valley reported 130 new cases of coronavirus on Wednesday while the remaining 21 were detected from Jammu division thus taking the overall number of people infected since the outbreak of pandemic last year in J&K to 326310.
Giving district-wise details, the officials said that Srinagar reported 75 cases, Baramulla 31, Budgam 7, Pulwama 2, Kupwara 2, Anantnag 2, Bandipora 4, Ganderbal 2, Kulgam 5, Jammu 4, Rajouri 6, Kishtwar 1and Poonch, Ramban and Reasi 2 each new cases of Covid-19. No new case of coronavirus was reported from Shopian, Doda, Kathua, Samba and Udhampur districts.
Also, the officials said, 163 more Covid patients have recovered—20 from Jammu division and 143 from the Valley.
Meanwhile, the deadly infection claimed life of another person in Kashmir Valley on Wednesday raising the overall death toll due to pandemic in J&K to 4411—2166 in Jammu and 2245 in Kashmir.
“No new case of mucormycosis has been reported today, thus the total number of confirmed cases remains 45 in J&K,” the officials said.
