SRINAGAR: In the ongoing DFA Srinagar Annual Football League Tournament 2021, two matches of the Super Division League were played on Tuesday at Synthetic Turf TRC here.
The first match was played between Syed Tajuddin FC and Young Iqbal FC.
In the 19th minute of the first half, Sanjeev of Syed Tajuddin FC scored a magnificent goal to give his team the lead.
Young Iqbal FC players tried to look for an equaliser but failed to find the net. In the 34th minute of the game Syed Tajuddin FC consolidated their lead by scoring another goal through Irfan. The players of Young Iqbal FC tried their utmost to find the net but could not penetrate the solid defence of the Syed Tajuddin team.
The match ended with Syed Tajuddin FC defeating Young Iqbal FC by 2 goal to nil.
The second match of the day was played between Musuada Foundation FC and Shehr-e-Khaas FC.
Both teams played aggressive football from the get-go. Shehr-e-Khaas FC opened the scoring in the 10th minute of the game through Munees Ahmad, however, the team could not hold the lead and Owais of Musuada Foundation FC equalised for his team and scored back to back three goals in 15th, 20th & 25th minute of the match.
Faizan Fayaz scored the 4th goal for Musuada Foundation FC. The first half ended 4-1 in favour of Musuada Foundation FC.
The second half of the match began on a similar goal-scoring tone, and in the 45th minute of the play Faizan Fayaz scored the fifth goal for Musuada Foundation FC.
Sheh In the dying minutes of the match, Shehr-e-Khaas FC players managed to score their 2nd goal of the game. The match ended 5-2 goals in favour of Musuada Foundation FC.
The tournament is organised by DFA Srinagar under the aegis of J&K Football Association, and in collaboration with JKSC.
