Pulwama: A local court in Pulwama here on Saturday acquitted a man accused of acid attack on a girl ten years ago.
According to GNS, Ali Muhammad Bhat Ali, resident of Jandwal was accused of throwing acid on a girl in the same vicinity in year 2004. The police had registered a case against the accused under FIR number 371/2004 under sections 326, 307 RPC in Pulwama station. The case was pending disposal before Honourable court of Additional Sessions Judge Pulwama.
The accused was represented by defence counsel Advocate Bhat Junaid and the counsel after deliberate discussions and arguments succeeded in assisting the Honourable court to reach just conclusions in the case.
The finding given by the Honourable court in the said case is that “prosecution has failed to prove the guilt of the accused beyond the shadows of reasonable doubt and hence acquitted.” (GNS)
