Srinagar: Director Health Services Kashmir has directed all chief medical officers, block medical officers and other DDO’s to desist from affecting transfers or deployments of doctors and paramedical staff of their own which is beyond their capacity.
Anyone who will be found violating orders shall be dealt strictly and shall attract disciplinary proceedings, reads a circular issued by the director in this regard.
“It has come to the notice of this Directorate that Chief Medical Officers/ Block Medical Officers are affecting transfer/deployments of doctors/paramedical staff of their own, which is beyond their jurisdiction/competence and also violation of transfer policy framed by Government vide order No:948-JK (GAD) of 2020 dated15/10/2020,” reads the circular.
“As such, it is impressed upon all the chief medical officers/block medical officers and other DDO’s to desist from such practice and not to issue any such order without prior approval from this directorate. Any laxity in this regard shall be dealt seriously and shall attract disciplinary proceedings,” It adds.
The fresh circular also put in abeyance all the orders which have been issued by the CMO/BMOs at their own level since May-2021.
