Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir witnessed on Saturday 142 fresh cases of novel coronavirus while no Covid-19 related fatality were reported across the Union Territory during the last 24 hours.
According to officials, 83 new cases of Covid-19 were reported from different parts of Kashmir Valley while 59 were reported from Jammu division thus taking the total number of people infected since the outbreak of pandemic last year in J&K to 322428.
Giving district wise-details, the officials said that Srinagar reported 36 cases, Baramulla 3, Budgam 13, Pulwama 9, Kupwara 7, Bandipora 5, Ganderbal 7, Kulgam 3, Jammu 15, Udhampur 8, Rajouri 6, Doda 16, Kishtwar 7, Poonch 3, and two cases each were reported from Ramban and Reasi districts.
No new case of coronavirus was reported from south Kashmir’s Anantnag and Shopian districts of the Valley and Kathua and Samba districts in the Jammu division. Also, officials said no coronavirus related death was witnessed for the second time in a row, so far 4386 people have fallen victim to the pathogen in J&K—2148 in Jammu division and 2238 in Kashmir.
Moreover, officials said, 136 more patients have recovered, 49 from Jammu Division and 87 from Kashmir Valley.
There was no confirmed case of black fungus reported today. So far 37 black fungus cases have been confirmed in J&K, the officials added.
