Teams on job to restore power supply; CE PDD says heavy rains hampering restoration process
Srinagar- The gusty winds on late Thursday evening damaged 33 and 11KV transmission lines across the Valley, affecting the electricity supply in most of the areas even as the Power Development Department (PDD) said that the teams were on job to repair the lines.
Official sources said that 33 and 11KV lines have got damaged due to strong winds in the evening, thereby affecting electricity in most parts of the valley, reported news agency KNO.
They said that the teams of the PDD have been pressed into the service to repair these lines.
Officials said that efforts were on to repair the lines in the shortest possible time, and power supply will be restored soon.
Meanwhile, Chief Engineer, KPDCL, Aijaz Ahmad said that heavy rains were hampering the restoration process.
