The year 2013 witnessed communal violence in Muzaffarnagar, in which 60 people got killed, hundreds injured and thousands displaced. BJP, MLAs Sangeet Som and Suresh Rana played vital role in inciting communal violence in Muzafarnagar and the accused uploaded a fake video that played a role in provoking communal tension and made inflammatory speeches.
Communal tension erupted in this Sarawa village in Meerut (U.P.) which is 90 kms. from Delhi in first week of August because of stereotype views on Muslims and Madrasses given by Hindutva organizations including the Hindu Jagran Manch, Hindu Mahasabha, Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), Bajrang Dal, RSS and Durga Vahini. The Hindu Bahu-Beti Bachao Sangharsh Samiti was also formed.
The village is a hamlet which comprises of 55 % Hindus and 45% Muslims. Village is having 3 Madrassas, 8 Mosques, 7 temples and one Eidgah. The villagers were living in the social harmony till July and the villagers had reached an understanding that Hindus would switch off loudspeakers if Muslims had to say Azaan and Muslims switch off their loudspeaker if it was Bhajan time. But unfortunately some communal organizations forced a Hindu girl and her parents, who was involved with a Muslim Boy Kaleem and got married with him on 30th July to change statement and involve Madrassas and group of Muslims for abduction, rape and forced conversion.
Dr. PravinTagadia, VHP, President reacting strongly on the alleged abduction, gang rape and conversion of Hindu girls in Uttar Pradesh Madrassas put forward few demands.
1. Immediately lock the Madrassas in Meerut, Hapur, Muzaffarnagar and other places in U.P 2. Arrest the head of main Islamic organizations to which such Madrassas are attached.
3. All Madrassas from other parts of country must be searched.
4. Hindu Human Rights Commission should be established.
All these four demands directly show how VHP, which is a separate wing of BJP are communal in nature and how they affect the social harmony and secular fabric of country.
Dr. Chandramohan, spokesperson of UP State BJP, along with several BJP leaders made inflammatory speeches in which they highlighted it as Love Jihad targeting Hindu girls and force them to convert to Islam. RSS which is parent body of BJP are planning to organize rallies in all districts of UP against alleged conversion in December this year and plan to convert Muslims and Christians to Hinduism in two separate progammes.
Supreme Court on 8th August warned these organization and leaders for making allegations that could disturb countries secular fabric.
