Srinagar: After the assurance given by State Government a proper policy will be framed in their favour, Jammu and Kashmir Polytechnic Academic Arrangement Association members ended their week long hunger strike on Thursday.
Reports said that Minister from Coalition Government Nazir Ahmed Gurezi arrived at Press Enclave Srinagar and assured the JKPAA candidates that government will positively frame a job policy for them within a fortnight. We not only ended our hunger strike but also decided to halt our strike for 15 days. If the Government will not frame job policy for us then we will be compelled again to come on roads in favour of our demand, one of candidates said adding that the Minister assured them that the Government will frame a policy for the lecturers and demonstrators within 15 days.
