Srinagar: A 10-year-old boy was wounded after an ‘abandoned grenade’ went off in Kalaroos area in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Thursday afternoon, official sources said.
They said that the boy, namely Zubair Ahmad son of Ghulam Mohammed Khan was fiddling with the abandoned grenade lying in the vicinity of his house in Parraypora Kalaroos. The device exploded, resulting in injuries to the boy who was immediately removed to a local health facility and.
A police team reached the spot and found another grenade there, the sources said.
