Srinagar: Dr Syed Muhammad Sadiq Rizvi, a noted social worker and scholar passed away here on Monday.
Family sources said Dr Sadiq died of cardiac arrest at his Sharif Abad residence Monday evening. He is survived by three sons and widow.
Dr Sadiq was a staunch supporter of Kashmir movement for self determination and was deeply inspired by Iran’s Islamic revolution.
Late Dr Sadiq has penned several books prominent among them “Hamasa-e- Husayni”. Dr Sadiq was the younger brother of late Justice S M Rizvi.
