Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir reported on Thursday four more deaths due to coronavirus, even as 262 fresh cases of virus were detected across the Union Territory during the last 24 hours.
While Kashmir Valley reported 142 new cases of Covid-19, the remaining 120 were detected from Jammu division, taking the total number of people infected since the outbreak of pandemic last year in J&K to 318023, officials said Thursday.
Giving the district-wise details, the officials said that Srinagar reported 53, Baramulla 22, Budgam 5, Pulwama 8, Kupwara 11, Anantnag 14, Bandipora 7, Ganderbal 11, Kulgam 11, Jammu 25, Udhampur 11, Rajouri 16, Doda 21, Kathua 6, Samba 3, Kishtwar 3, Poonch 8, Ramban 10 and Reasi 17. No fresh case of virus was detected in south Kashmir’s Shopian district, officials said.
Regarding the deaths, they said, two each were reported from Jammu and Kashmir, taking the fatality count to 4353.
Moreover, officials said, 353 more patients have recovered, 136 from Jammu Division and 217 from Kashmir.
There was one new confirmed case of mucormycosis (black fungus) reported today and thus the cumulative number of confirmed rose to 31 in J&K.
