Ganderbal: The General Officer Commanding of Srinagar based Chinar Corps Lt Gen Subrata on Monday said that local and foreign militants inflict equal damage during attacks.
Talking to reporters after addressing students in Sainik School here, the GOC said: Whether local or foreign, they inflict equal damage. But, we always try to minimize it.
Asked have the militant attacks increased in the recent past, the GOC said: These incidents happen. But we always try to foil them and provide security to people.
The GOC informed that the four militants who were killed in Keran sector on Thursday and Friday were infiltrators. We have recovered 8 AK 47 rifles, navigation equipment and ration from them, he said, adding we foiled their infiltration attempt.
