Srinagar: Pistol borne militants shot at and injured a policeman in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Thursday, police said.
Around 8:50 pm Thursday, unidentified militants fired some pistol shots upon a police team near Lazibal area of the main town leaving one cop injured, a police official said. The pistol borne militants, he said, escaped from the spot taking cover of darkness.
The police official further said that the cop has suffered minor injuries and his condition is stable.
Meanwhile, additional reinforcements have rushed to the spot and started a search operation to nab the attackers.
