SRINAGAR: Highlighting the importance of the “MUMKIN”, the Chairman DLIC / Deputy Commissioner Srinagar Mohammad Aijaz Asad said the scheme is a livelihood generation scheme launched by the Government through which aspiring eligible unemployed youth can avail benefits to purchase light commercial vehicles to earn livelihood under subsidised norms.
The Deputy Commissioner exhorted upon the Deputy Director Employment to screen the remaining applications and bring more progressive youth under the ambit of the scheme by disseminating awareness among the masses so that more and more unemployed youth are benefitted.
In order to take a detailed review of the implementation of the scheme, a meeting of District Level Implementation Committee(DLIC).
During the meeting, a threadbare discussion was held on different aspects of the scheme to ensure hassle-free and time bound approval of cases.
On the occasion, several cases were brought before the Committee and after detailed deliberations 51 cases of unemployed eligible persons of Srinagar district were approved under the “MUMKIN” scheme.
The Chairman DLIC was also informed that 50 more cases under scheme are in process and shall be placed before the Committee for approval within next 10 days.
The Chairman directed the concerned officers to complete other process including license verification from RTO, NOC from DIC by June 21 so that all approved cases are submitted to concerned agencies.
The meeting was informed that beneficiaries under the scheme are supported by scheme partners and Government through 20 percent cash assistance in order to meet their margin money management including insurance/ registration charges and initial repayment obligations(EMIs).
