SRINAGAR: The J&K Football Association (JKFA) is gearing up for the 2021-22 football season by opening its registration process for football clubs, starting with District Srinagar, from June 21.
In a notification issued by JKFA’s District Srinagar unit, the Association said that the call for registration has been taken only after the Government’s nod.
“Since the Govt. has given permission to conduct outdoor activities in Sports, all the Football Clubs/Teams of District Srinagar are informed to complete the Registration of their teams/Clubs for the year 2021-22,” the notification reads.
“The Registration forms will be available in the Office of the Association at Abi Guzar, Srinagar from 11 AM to 5 PM. The registration will start from Monday the 21st of June 2021 & the last date of the submission of the registration forms is 5th July 2021,” it said.
The notification comes after JK Sports Council restarted its football and cricket coaching academies after a lengthy period of pandemic lockdown.
The JKFA also revealed that they plan to start the 2021-22 Season “immediately after the registration process is complete”. Further stating that, “All COVID-19 SOP’s and Govt. Guidelines to this effect will be strictly adhered to.”
