Srinagar: Two militants are trapped in an ongoing encounter with government forces in Naugam area of the city outskirts, police said Tuesday.
The encounter, according to the police, broke out in Wagoora area of Naugam in the city outskirts on Tuesday night when the joint team of police and CRPF laid a siege around the area and started a cordon and search operation (CASO).
“Encounter has started at Wagoora, Naugam area of Srinagar. Two militants trapped. Security forces on job. Further details shall follow,” Kashmir police posted on its official Twitter handle.
