TEHRAN: Iran fully supports the Palestinian resistance against Israels brutal offensive in the Gaza Strip, Izzat al-Rishq, a member of the Hamas Political Bureau said on Wednesday.
In a telephone conversation, Irans Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and Hamas political bureau chief Khaled Meshaal discussed the latest developments in the besieged Palestinian territory, Rishq wrote on his Facebook page.
Zarif was quoted by Rishq as saying that Iran praises the Palestinians resistance against the Israeli regimes savage attacks on the Gaza Strip.
Earlier on Tuesday, the top Iranian diplomat reiterated that the Israeli regime has blatantly violated international human rights regulations in the Gaza Strip.
The Zionist regime [of Israel] used the most advanced armaments and flagrantly carried out ground, air and sea aggression on the Palestinian land, Zarif said.
Israeli warplanes have been hitting numerous targets in the Gaza Strip, demolishing homes and burying families in the rubble over the past 16 days. Israeli tanks also began a ground offensive against the impoverished Palestinian land on July 17.
Latest reports say Israeli raids have killed 647 Palestinians including women and children and injured more than 4,000 others so far. At least 29 Israelis have also been killed in the war.
